Bodies in Motion Physical Therapy – Pediatrics and Teens

Over 50% of our clients are young athletes. We also see some of the littlest clients, babies and toddlers for torticollis and gross motor developmental delays. We work with local pediatricians, coaches, and trainers for rehabilitation and return to sport as rapidly as possible. We minimize time off from sports and use alternative methods to keep athletes fit while rehabilitating including AlterG anti-gravity treadmill, cross training, and strength training.

For sports, we aim to keep athletes with their teams as much as possible and participating in portions of practice as part of their rehabilitation. We utilize a whole body approach to evaluation and rehabilitation to determine the source of the problem and address all aspects of movement for optimal performance. For example, many clinics focus only on the affected joint, muscle, or tendon. At Bodies In Motion PT, you will be treated from head to toe for a shoulder injury as the neck often refers pain to the shoulder and without a strong core and lower body power, your shoulder is doing extra work and may be injured due to compensation for core weakness.

For babies, toddlers, and children with gross motor developmental delay, we again use a whole body approach to help them achieve milestones and set them on the course for developmental progress in daily and play activities.
