We are reaching out to all our patients in the community to assure you Bodies In Motion Physical Therapy is committed to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for your continued safety in the face of Coronavirus (COVID-19). We are taking a progressive approach to allow you to continue to have the same quality physical therapy without disruption. We acknowledge that there is much uncertainty with this new virus, however, we assure you we continue to monitor closely the CDC and Santa Clara County Public Health and American Physical Therapy Association guidelines as well as increase our diligence in regards to your care and safety. We will continue to stay open for those patients who are  not high risk and wish to come in. However, if there is a mandated closure, we will close the clinic and notify scheduled patients.

Below are some health guidelines we currently and will continue to implement in our office as well as encourage each of you to practice. These are based on recommendations from the CDC, Santa Clara County Public Health Department and The American Physical therapy Association.

  1. We wash hands before and after (between) each patient, after lunch breaks, bathroom use, and returning to the clinic.
  2. We clean and disinfect each patient room after each patient and in between.
  3. We clean and disinfect equipment used in the gym between patients and at the end of each day.
  4. We have a professional cleaning service that cleans and disinfects 2x each week.
  5. We clean and disinfect high touch surfaces daily (doorknobs, computers, front desk area; counters, sinks, etc) Since Coronavirus, we have increased this practice to in between patients as well.
  6. We have hand sanitizer available at the front desk and in each treatment room for all patients and staff to use.
  7. When patients are sick, we instruct them not to come to PT. If you have a fever or upper respiratory symptoms do not come to PT. Call your physician’s office or the nearest emergency room before going in. They will instruct you on the best course of action.
  8. When staff are sick, they stay home.
  9. Stay informed. Information is changing frequently. Check and subscribe to the Santa Clara Public Health Department’s website (https://www.sccgov.org) and CDC (https://www.cdc.gov).
